Nick Saban on Protect College Sports Act: ‘It’s certainly 100 times better than what we have now’

As the 2026 season nears, the Protect College Sports Act is one of the bigger issues hanging over college football. The act was co-authored by Sen. Maria Cantwell (D-Wash.) and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), only to be opposed by conferences like the Big Ten and SEC. There are supporters, though, and one of the bigger names is Nick Saban.

Monday was another example, as Saban explained that the PCSA is "certainly 100 times better than what we have now." These comments are fresh off players who were in NFL training camps jumping back into college football. Saban says the bill passing would solve a lot of the problems at hand.
